Suppliers Report Problem

Hi,
I have recently realized that when I enter a purchase transaction from within the Supplier account (as opposed to purchases section), the transaction is not recorded under the Purchases tab, and furthermore, the Suppliers report does now reflect the transaction either. I've always been entering my purchases with this method, but the problem seems to have appeared only recently.

You're right, I've tested this and found the problem is due to a typo.

The normal way to enter purchases (if you want to record an invoice number) is to use the Purchases icon, but I did add this shortcut a long time ago so that we can tap on the supplier and add the same entry that way. The difference is that the entry type is not set initially, only when the transfer is saved. When you tap save, Easy Books looks at the accounts and if it sees a transfer between a supplier account and an asset or expense account, it changes the entry type to a purchase for you.

I have fixed the code already but it may take some time for it to reach everyone because I am currently working with Apple to approve another update to add monthly payments. Once this is cleared (or rejected by Apple) I will send this update with the fix.

The update will allow you to update the entries you already have. To do this, tap on each one, then tap on Line details (optional) followed by Done. The entry screen should then show the Save button at the top which will re-save the entry as a purchase.

Thank you for letting me know, it's always a disappointment to find errors in the code, but this will help to make Easy Books better for everyone.

    Mathew

Thank you for your quick response. I will enter the future purchases through
the purchases button until you implement the changes.

    All the best,
