back up recovery

I have lost all my back up files during an upgrade from my old iphone to the new 4s i backed up my easy books via email before starting. Can i still recover this in the 4s if needed, or will there be a conflict between operating systems.

   Yes, you can recover the backup file in both iOS and Mac OS X versions of the app.
