Hi

Made some entries to my company file this morning.
Later I opened Easy Books on my iPad and received the message "Your devices are no longer in sync. You should turn off sync and re-upload (from any of your other devices.
I tried following deletion and re-uploading but have failed.
Any suggestions please.

PS. the files on my Mac seem to be AOK.

    If all the data is on your mac then I suggest doing a backup first, then turning sync off and on again and re-upload. All on the mac.

    Then after that, on the iPad, make sure syncing is turned back on, and re-download if it asks.

    Hi Karen

    Thanks a lot, everything now back to A1, glad for the backup advice, it was this I used after a failed online download to restore and then sync on line followed by my phone and ipad.

    Hi

    I am once again a bit puzzled with my sync status.
    My ipad and iphone are both in sync with each other but my mac is showing that it is out of sync. I have deleted the company from my mac after turning off sync. but on trying to upload the company from the online version, I still get the message and red dot that tells me that the mac is not in sync.

    Can anyone help please.

    Have you had a look at the online information on the sync service, if a conflict has been created, then syncing will stop.

    You then have to select the copy you want to keep and re-upload it from this device to the service and the re-download it onto the devices.

    So, choose iPhone or iPad, whichever has the latest copy. You would have had an email on March 19th shortly after 11.12am to let you know there was a conflict. Log into the service on your browser and click on businesses.

    Hi I have synching problem for both iphone and ipad due to reconcilled same transaction in two places in a saved statement. I deleated statements on both devices but synch did not work. Got email to state server has stopped backing up.
    I deleted my company and tried resynching it only downloads last backup with conflict statement.
    Tried downloading previous day back from server and nothing... "frameload interupted " error appears. Can you delete all backups for the 26 march 2013 on your server so i can down load last back up for 25 March 2013?

    Is there any hope??? I need to complete end of year accounts ASAP

    Hi Paul,

    Don't worry, it isn't as bad as you think!

    The online system always tries to maintain a master copy of your data, so stops making any further backups when a conflict would be introduced into the online copy. You can still download as you've seen, and the app will happily continue syncing changes made after the conflict. But it will display the warning message, and you're not getting any more online backups so it really does need to be sorted out. I've made a fail-safe backup for you, which I'll delete once you're up and running properly. But just in case I thought it might be a good idea and I hope you don't mind.

    The best thing to do would be to re-upload (note UPLOAD rather than download). Do this from a device you know has everything you want to keep. I would suggest "Sue Ryan's iPad" probably has the data.

    To upload, follow these steps:
    1. On the iPad, turn off sync on the business (leave logged in, just turn the sync switch to OFF).
    2. Turn the switch on again. You should see an option to "Re-upload (from device)". Choose this option and wait for the upload to complete.

    Your other devices should download the data when you next use the app on them. This should get everything sorted out, and I would just have a look back at a transaction dated 22 Feb 2013:
    Sue's Current Account 2115
    In (Rec'd)
    "DWP" DWP-SR, 264.00

    This was uploaded 19 March 11:12 and caused the original conflict. It could be that this is missing and will need to be re-entered. Everything else looks good.

    If you don't feel happy doing this I can do it for you, just let me know.

    Hi Mathew, I followed your steps 1 and 2 on ipad and easybooks synched with
    my iphone without any problems everything is up and running smoothly.

    Hi, I need to download the backup on April 18 at a19:50 from backup on server. When this backup is selected I get Frame load interrupted message.
    How do I do this?

    You can go to the web-site via the browser rather than from inside the app, it is only designed to backup using the browser method, although there is a visible view of it from within the app.

    I have down loaded the backup i want to restore onto my pc.  How do i upload this version to the server so that i can download to my ipad and iphone??
    Or should I add macbook pro and install easybook and backup the version on to Macbook?  If I do that how do i get easybook to use that version of data???
    Why not publish clear instructions??
