I have been keeping a complete list of my transactions in excel. I have few years worth of bank statements, and credit cards, etc. Is there anyway to import my data from excel?

I'm sorry, there isn't an import function in the app because of all the variations in formats I would need to support.
What I could suggest is creating a set of accounts that match what you need and setting the opening balances at a certain date. Then perhaps run the two systems in parallel for a while until you're happy you have it set up right. I did this when I moved over from my old bookkeeping package to Easy Books in 2009.
I hope that helps,
Mathew

Hi Matthew,
First of all thanks for prompt reply.
However, there's one thing I don't understand: why don't you define your own format, and we as users comply with your import format. e.g. a cvs format maybe?
In terms of your suggestion, I don't want to lose my 5+ years of data for comparison purposes.
Thanks, rgards,

Hi Karaca,
That's a good suggestion, I will add this to the list of things to do, but I'm busy on the Mac OS X version for the next few months so I'm afraid it's going to be a little wait.
Mathew
