Paying In Book
I use my paying in book to pay cheques into my bank account, the figure recorded on the back statement is made up of a number of cheques. How should these be recorded to tally with the figure on the statement? I can only see how to apply the cheques as separate transactions. Thank you.

You could do this by adding splits. Enter a transaction, starting with the first cheque, then add a split for the subsequent cheques and the total should tally at the bottom of the transaction entry screen.
http://easybooksapp.com/mac/entering-transactions , splits are mentioned at the bottom of this page.
I hope that helps,
