Importing Customers - please? (Mac OS)

Hi Matthew,

Previously you were asked about the ability to import customers to Easy Books from Address Book, to which you replied (March 26, 2012) "You can import from the address book [Contacts] under iOS, just create a new customer, then use the import button at the bottom of the screen." But no mention of the Mac version.

I'm a sole trader and have been trialling both the Mac OS version (EB v 2.6.6) and on iOS... On the latter, when adding a Customer, I can see where the option appears at the bottom of the screen to 'Search Contacts'. This functionality obviously makes sense, to minimize data entry where the data already exists on the device.

Is this same function not possible to implement in the Mac OS version (from Address Book)? If so, is it on your to-do list and could I ask that this be done sooner than later? The app seems otherwise great - I'm in favour of simplicity too - but this is seems a deal breaker having to manually enter such details when they're already on the computer. (Or do you see the app's usage edging away from Mac OS and further into iOS only?). Great work, otherwise.

best,

Adam

  1. It is definitely on the list. I can't say timescales, but it is possible to add this feature now. The App is continuing to be developed in both iOS and Mac and we certainly want both to develop together.

I'm glad you like it, and we have noted your enthusiasm for this to be added, we'd like it too.

    Thank you

    Karen

  2. Thanks Karen. Looking forward to its implementation asap.
