I run a residents association made up of 3 flats. Can someone give me advice on how I would set this up in Easy Books on Mac. I want to show 3 ledgers for each flat so I can produce statements for them and an overall service charge account. I have 2 bank acccounts which will need reconciling as well. Obviuosly there will be expenses such as repairs utilities cleaning etc .. I guess its pretty simple but I want to be sure I am using the right account categories so I can create the reports I need.

It sounds like container accounts would be the best bet. E.g. an expense account for Repairs, with containers for each flat.
Have a go with this, and see if it creates what you need,

Ok thanks I'll see how that goes, with the individual Flats would I treat them as Customers to enable statements to be produced?

Yes, actually that would be better, and then you could use containers to split any expenses separately, but still be under the one expense type.

Also if there is an expense can that be divided on a % split that is uneven ie: 25 /35/40% ??

Hi,
A fresh account with no transactions can be turned into a container in its settings. Then you can edit other accounts, setting their category equal to the container, which will appear in the list.
There isn't a % split function though sorry,
Mathew
