Invoicing with prepayment

Hi Matthew,

I have found Easy Books very useful for my business except one issue: the invoicing procedure in Easy Books assumes that the payment is due at some time later than a purchase invoice is received. However we have a lot of purchases with prepayment or partial payment. So there are two lines per purchase as usual but how to mark the purchase as paid in this case and to link the invoice with the payment?

  1. Hi,

You can handle pre-payments by just entering a transaction between your bank account and your customer for the amount paid. You can then later generate sales invoices as normal. To mark the invoice as paid, you can use the shortcut "add a tick" which will just do that (and only that). There isn't a way to link the sale and the payment in that case I'm afraid.
