Recording Customer Sub-accounts.

Hi Mathew & Karen,

I have been working on the trial version of this software for a while now and find it excellent.

I have a query. I run a private medical establishment which sees about 30 to 40 patients every day. I have created a container account called Patients under Customers and then create a separate account for each patient under this container. Over time, this container will have several tens of thousands of sub- accounts. What I would like to know is whether the system is capable of handling this kind of data or whether it would slow down or crash as the number of accounts under the "Patients" container continues to multiply. Is there a better way of entering this kind of data. I would not like to maintain a separate spreadsheet outside of the software to record this data as,far as possible.

Is there also a way to record the details of cheque payments received (other than in the details sections) which would show up in the main account transactions page as notes added to the details section do not show up there and are not subsequently searchable.

Thank you once again for this excellent software and hope to see lots of nice developments in future releases.

Best.

  1. Easy Books hasn't been designed or tested for this sort of level of customers and it sounds like a bespoke system might be more suited to you.

This link talks about reconciling cheques on statements and is how we do it with our business, it catches errors well before they are a headache and the values of the cheques are searchable.

    Hope that helps,
    Karen
