Exporting transactions to CSV?
I'm currently evaluating the OS X version. One major feature that seems to be missing, and previously requested in the forums, is the ability to export transactions into a simple CSV format. The is needed for use with other applications, or to send data to an accountant.
Is it true that you can export reports to CSV, but cannot export
full transaction data (eg for a single account, or all
accounts)?
This seems a major oversight.
Is this feature already available somehow, or forthcoming?

I noticed in the page "FAQ → Is it possible to import data into Easy Books?" it's mentioned that support for multiple currencies and stock is higher priority than export.
Personally, I think export should be higher priority.

Actually, the Audit Report seems to do exactly what I need. It lists all transactions between two dates and can be exported to CSV.
You may want to consider adding "Export transactions to CSV" or similar to your feature list!

Thank you for the suggestions, we are currently reviewing the logical pathways in the app, and also the web-site, to help with navigation, so thank you for the feedback.

I have similar problem as Matthew. I bought the software because it is relatively easy to use and I thought it can be exported into CSV file. This software supposed to have option to save as CSV, HTML and Zip. But when I tried saving my audit reports and other reports into CSV, it kept changing to HTML format. Why so!?

I thought we had fixed this problem, but maybe it is occurring for another reason. Can you tell me what version you are using?
Thank you

It is supposed to be possible to output all reports in HTML, CSV or ZIP (containing both). I will look into why this isn't working in the version you're using and get it updated with a fix.

Hi Mathew,
I found out the reason why I cant output reports in CSV or zip format. In the Save dialog box, at the Bottom-Left corner, there is a Hide Extension button. To output the format that I want (HTML, CSV or ZIP), I have to uncheck that button in order to do so, or else it automatically output in HTML format. Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Jeffrey
