Two different companies appeared - neither sync
Hello, I share my Easybooks with my bookkeeper. I had an issue on my Mac's where I closed the same statement on both machines. I needed to restore from a backup, which I did. My bookkeeper called and said that he could no longer sync and we tried several times, but to no avail. I sent him my backup, which he restored. We now have two separate companies and neither of us can see the others work. What can we do to get things back on track? I think that one of the copies needs ot be removed from the storage area.

Hi Paul,
It sounds like you've both uploaded the same business to your accounts.
I assume you have a backup copy. Keep this just in case.
It isn't possible to share the business if you both have a copy stored in your online sync account. So if I were you, I would remove both copies from the online sync service. Use a web browser to log in to your account. Go to the businesses tab and you should see it listed. Delete the business by clicking it followed by the delete button. If your bookkeeper also has a copy of your business he/she should do this too.
Then you should find syncing is turned off when you next use the Mac. Turn it back on and it will upload a new snapshot. You can then use your account as I'm sure you did before to share your business with your bookkeeper.
Your bookkeeper will need to delete the business from all their devices to make the process as easy as possible. Then they will be able to choose your business from the list available in the "Add Business" screen.
Let me know how you get on.
All the best,
Mathew
