I want to buy transactions but when I get an error message from I tunes that I can't purchase the add on from my account and need to buy the original Ap. I am getting desperate because having run out of my initial free transactions I am not able now to keep the records for the business through easy books.

Apple link the in-app purchases per Apple ID, so you'll need to use the same Apple ID when making in-app purchases as you do when originally downloading the app.
If you need to re-download the app again using a different Apple ID, make sure you run an Easy Books backup first and email it to yourself so you know you can restore from it later. Then delete the app, and re-install from the App Store using the Apple ID you want to use for purchases. You should then be able to restore the backup and make any in-app purchases using that same Apple ID.
