4% added to time tracker prices
Hi.
I have just bought Easy Books, and I have set up the Time Tracker Billing Rates. But whenever I add an hour, Time Tracker adjusts the price I've set with +4%?
I can't find anywhere in the program to remove this. Can you help me please?
Best regards,
René Danielsen

Hi René,
Do you invoice in days instead of hours?

Hi Matthew.
I invoice a fixed price per session, but being that I can’t setup a fixed price for a session, I’ve set up a billing rate that matches the amount per session as an hourly rate (if that makes sense). So I need the session rate to be £450, but when I set the price as 450 it comes out as 468 on the invoice (hence the 4% I mentioned earlier) so I have to set up the price as 432,70 so that it comes out as 450 on the invoice. Please see the attached two screen dumps.
Any idea where I go wrong?
René

I'm not sure, would you be able to send me a backup file to look into please?
Mathew

Hi René,
I think this is because you have the Billing Units set to days instead of hours. The number of hours or days is limited to 2 decimal places. The hourly rate you have set is 432,70 and you're invoicing each line separately, so:
1 hour / 8 hours per day = 0.13 days.
The daily rate equivalent is 432,70 * 8 = 3461,60 per day
0.13 days * 3461,60 = 450,00 which is shown on the invoice.
I would suggest setting the Billing Units to "Hours" (in the Invoicing Method).
I hope that helps,
Mathew

That’s it - THANK YOU for your help. I was thinking that there was a tick in a box I had got wrong somewhere, but couldn’t find it. Now it’s solved.
Works a treat for our small company - really a great program you have. Will make sure to review it as well ;o)
Have a nice weekend
René
