Payroll
Hi, just exploring Easy Books and wondering how it accounts for payroll transactions. I cannot find any reference to payroll or wages in the FAQ so presume there is no specific payroll management module. Assuming therefore that payroll is handled outside the app, how does easy books factor this into its reconciliation.?
The app looks very promising. Do you provide any specific customisations for specific business types like, for instance, restaurants?

Easy Books does not offer any specific payroll, you're right. However, you can add accounts under the category "Employee costs" and post all your outgoing payments to employees as transactions between your bank account and their employee cost account. I would suggest making a container account under employee costs first, then adding individual staff accounts under this. Then when you prepare P&L reports, Easy Books will hide the individual accounts, and show the overall figure for the container account.
I hope that helps,
Mathew
