Error code 999
Error code 999 appears intermittently , but when it does it can
happen quite frequently.
I have to power off, but this is not always successful. I can not
tell if this happens only
when I am carrying out a precise entry.
Regards John.

Hi John,
The first thing is don't worry!
I have heard this happens from time to time. If anyone else has anything to add, please do! It will help get it resolved because so far I've been unable to reproduce it here.
Your data is safe and it's just a report issue, which I think might happen if the app is left to sleep with a report screen showing. It could be that it happens when the device is turned on again, or when Easy Books is brought to the foreground. Simply going to the main accounts screen should clear the problem.
I will monitor this discussion for any clues about how I can reproduce it and as soon as I know what the issue is, I'll post an update.

Matthew
I have just thought that the problem is usually preceded by the
security code pad appearing in portrait mode rather than landscape
mode to which my I pad is locked too.

I will experiment with locking the orientation then to try to reproduce it. Thanks for that extra tip!

Just an update for everyone. I've not managed to reproduce this problem using the orientation switch. Has anyone else found anything out?
