Total to Date
Good morning,
One more suggestion: I'm running a small pre school in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is cash country, nobody really trusts banks. For our daily groceries we go to different shops around town or even the market. A lot of our daily purchases are between $1 and $10. No invoices, only till slips. These transactions are directly entered under 'Groceries' and 'Cash Box', no need for entries under supplier accounts. My groceries account has a huge list of small transactions. As description I enter name of shop & slip number. This allows me to search for transactions with a particular shop. It would be nice that when filtering transactions the 'total to date' field would show the actual total and not the totals as shown in the full transaction list. Is this something you could consider for a future update (MacOs v 3.4.4)?
Thank you,
Jan Van Der Voort

Hi Jan,
I wouldn't want to make changes to the balance column, as it is supposed to show the account balance after the transaction has been posted.
But t think I have a work-around for you. If you use search to view the smaller list of transactions, you can select all (Cmd+A) and you should see the sum displayed at the top - see screenshot. You can click on this too if you want to copy the amount, or to view the min and max amounts.
I hope that helps,
Mathew

Hi Mathew,
This solves the issue for me. Didn't know the option was there!
Thank you,
Jan
